Carla is originally from Argentina, and completed a kindergarten teaching diploma prior to travelling abroad. In 1995 she pursued overseas working experience in Andorra Europe as a Ski Instructor. She completed three seasons working with children and adults, and it is where she met her New Zealand husband.
Carla then moved to Australia in 1998, where she lived for seven years moving about small mining towns. During this time she worked in Daycare Centres but also completed some clerical work on the side.
In 2004 Carla moved to New Zealand with her husband and three sons, settling in Arrowtown, which she now calls home. She has been actively involved with the Parent Teacher Association at the Arrowtown School for many years, and more recently, the organisation of the Latin America and Spanish Film Festival in Queenstown. Carla enjoyed been involved in these roles as she was able to use her organisational and people skills, and local area knowledge, all of which are her personal strengths. Furthermore, Carla has been working part time in several other varying roles including; Sales Assistant, Ticket Officer at Cardrona Ski Resort, Real Estate Agent and Personal Assistant, and working for an events company. The focus of these roles were primarily based around customer service, tourism and translating. These roles have fuelled Carla's passion of wanting to deal with people across multiple cultures on a more personal level, where she will be able to 'make visitors to New Zealand feel at home', an attribute that Carla is well known for.
Since calling the surrounds of Queenstown home, Carla desires to communicate her knowledge and experiences to overseas visitors, and is pursuing a career as Driver Guide. Her friendly, approachable and helpful personality makes her the ideal English and Spanish speaking guide, providing her Clients with a first class experience.
Carla enjoys the outdoors, and has special interests in skiing, biking and walking.
Carla is First Aid and CPR Qualified.
